For newborns (0 to 3 months):

They need 16 to 20 hours of sleep by day, divided as follows:

  • From 8:00 to 14:00 hours.
  • From 03: 30 to 08: 00 hours.
  • 2 hours in the morning.
  • 2 to 4 hours in the afternoon.

Sleep quality: unstable at first, then it becomes slow deep.

 


 

Baby sleep : For children from 9 through 12 months :

They need 12 hours of sleep per night.
5 to 3 hours per day, including the afternoon.
The quality of sleep: deep.

The nap: 3 hours (divided between morning and afternoon).
The quality of sleep: slow deep sleep has become rare, lighter and unstable. the awakenings during sleep are more frequent and longer.
